This concert will ultimately determine who is crowned, Master of the Bahamian Sound
Music Masters is not only a concert, but a journey. It starts almost a year before, when Bahamian musicians are invited to submit original songs for the Music Masters Song Competition. The top 20 songs are selected, mastered and released on the official Bahamas Junkanoo Carnival Compilation Album.
In the first concert of the Music Masters series, the artists compete for a spot in the finals where they perform in front of a crowd of over 50,000 people for the top Music Masters prize. Their performance is complemented by other top local and regional acts.
[/acc_item] [acc_item title=”Road Fever”]Road Fever is the original Bahamian masquerade street party that closes out the annual Bahamas Junkanoo Carnival.
It is a costume parade incorporating a unique mix of live and recorded music with masses of people “Shaking up the Streets”
Road Fever caters to the party animal in you. It is open to any and everyone willing to purchase a costume and jump in da line with a carnival company, however, it is best suited for those who have the stamina, rhythm, confidence, positive vibes and a free spirit. The criterion for participation has nothing to do with age, wealth, nationality, or religion. It has everything to do with a true revelers spirit.
Road Fever Companies are the driving force behind the Road Fever Parade. These companies provide costumes and the on road experience. Many of them offer an all inclusive carnival experience.
Route: Starting at Thomas A. Robinson National Stadium (Bahamas Games Roundabout); Go south toward Tonique Williams-Darling Hwy; At the roundabout, head west on Tonique Williams-Darling Hwy; At the next roundabout, turn left onto the street formally known as Bethel Avenue; Continue north to six legged roundabout; Turn east onto Thompson Boulevard; Continue onto Nassau St; Turn left onto W Bay St and onto Western Esplanade.
